When you are able to fully open the arms of your jacket your medical team will have unrestricted access to your arm. This helps with taking your blood pressure and having free access to place the IV where it is best for you. This also reduces the amount of time that they spend dealing with your clothing to get proper access. Once they are done working on your arm then you can zip up your arms and feel warm and comfortable.
The double zipper allows you to zip around the tubes and wires so you remain fully covered without interfering with the IV flow.
Patients who are undergoing any infusion treatments could use an IV Hoody. Many of our customers are going through chemotherapy, dialysis, iron infusions, platelet donations, and treatments for Lyme Disease and Autoimmune Disorders.

We have lined the arms of our infusion jackets with pockets for air activated heat packs. When you add the heat packs it provides gentle warmth for 8-12 hours. We like to add our heat packs just above the IV site to warm the fluid as it enters the body, this helps to stop the shivers felt by many patients going through infusions.
The packs can also be added to your sleeves prior to arriving at your appointment to warm the arm. This helps to make it easier for your medical team to access your veins, the nurses love this life-hack.

Our company was founded by a patient undergoing regular treatments from Lyme Disease. It is through her experience that we understand how difficult it can be for patients to be fighting a chronic illness. We decided to add colorful linings to our hoody’s to bring some color and fun to your treatment days. We hope that a little warmth and splash of color can brighten your day!

Our loose fit IV Hoody is a classic hoody fit. We find it looks great on fuller/curvy body types. This hoody is roomier in the arms and body and provides a classic hoody fit.
Our slim fit IV Hoody will hug your body and is built for smaller framed individuals or those that want a more form fitted/athletic look.
Your hoody will arrive in a custom box with sample heat packs, stickers, and instructions on how to use the hoody.

Quality and attention to detail is critical to every hoody we make and we work hard to keep the cost as low as possible. The IV Hoody is also technically difficult to produce and for that we have much higher costs to manufacture this jacket compared to a regular hoody.
We have had customers comment that they were hesitant because of the price, but after they received the product they were surprised the price was so low because the quality of the garment and details exceeded all expectations.

Yes! Each hoody can be worn by either a man or a woman.
We found that most men prefer the loose fit because of their broad shoulders and larger arms.
Women like loose or slim fit depending on their style and body type.
We ship hoodys out the same business day as the order is received (when received before 3:30 pm PST). Our standard shipping is UPS Ground and it takes anywhere from 2-7 days to receive the order depending on how far you're from our warehouse in Irvine, CA.
We have received great feedback from caretakers of hospice patients that it really helped to keep patients warm while providing easy access for the medical team. The patients also appreciate the ability to have extra warmth in the arms as they are very cold most of the time.

Chronic Lyme Disease is a horrible disease that has not received the necessary amount of research and support that it needs to give patients real solutions. If your loved one is battling Chronic Lyme Disease they are probably going through hell! Not only does this disease have migrating symptoms that can be excruciating and confusing, but the lack of broad medical knowledge leaves patients with conflicting medical treatment options and many times people doubting the severity of their symptoms because of the variability and ups and downs of this disease. Also many of the treatments are not covered by insurance and so many Lymies struggle with finances as it can disrupt your ability to work full time and the treatments can be very expensive.
To support your loved one, leave time to listen to their journey, and believe them. Do not give them grief when they have to cancel plans because they are going through an attack/episode. Keep in touch with them and send love and support regularly. Your Lymie may end up isolated because of this illness, please don’t give up on them. Also give them the benefit of the doubt, even though they may not look sick, they are battling every day with horrible symptoms.
